1) People are generally pretty laid back, though not behind the wheel.
2) It is generally peaceful, and as an American when I travel there I feel more free than I do in the US, which is rapidly becoming more of a plice state every year.
3) The fresh food is real, and wholesome, though the food in general is pretty bland in most restaurants.
4) It has more of a European feel than a place like Mexico, and even for a small country enough variety that it feels bigger. It's proximity to Buenos Aires is a big plus if you need that New York/EU big city feel
5) Things work. Unlike much of SA, you can get answers, there is not too much paperwork on everything, and if you buy property as I do, you walk away knowing you actually own what you bought.
